A little Stand-up Routine

Bio

I feel fortunate to have a fun career that energizes me and allows me to do creative work with teams of industry professionals. I love dramatic and comedic acting!
I continue a deep dive into knowing myself better and honing the craft of acting. I have trained with leading teachers and acting coaches in Los AngelesI have been studying at
Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre and the Meisner Technique at the Michelle Danner Acting Studio in Los Angeles. Also, learning the Lucid Body technique for actors. I have trained with Howard Fine, Larry Moss, David Coury, Tom Brooks, Jodi Collins, CSA, Lisa Beach, CSA, Patti Kalles, CSA, and Sara Wallace, CSA.

I am a bookworm and continue to be inspired by actors' & teachers' memoirs (Shirley MacLaine, Patrick Stewart, Uta Hagen, Larry Moss, Howard Fine).
~
Since I was a child watching 80s sitcoms on TV, I have been enamored with all the wonderful stories being told. Then, as a teenager, I devoured the adorable films by great directors such as Steven Spielberg, John Hughes, Howard Deutch, Cameron Crowe, and Joel Schumacher. As an adult, I continue to discover all the great Hollywood classics, such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, Double Indemnity, Meet Me in Saint Louis, Roman Holiday, Heller - In Pink Tights, and Barbarella, just to name a few. I admire so many Hollywood actresses for their unique contributions to film: Helen Murren, Meryl Streep, Sophia Loren, Jane Fonda, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Jennifer Connelly, and Helena Bonham Carter for their depth and range. Even when I worked behind the scenes on the Paramount Studio lot, I did not let myself dream of being an actress. It took three years of voice acting classes to show me where I truly belonged and a lifetime to discover what I was naturally good at.

My Voice Acting journey led to the doors of improv. I began taking over a dozen courses at the National Comedy Theatre in San Diego. The thrills of improv keep me going back for more. I love improv and feel most creative and free to be in the moment with other actors on stage, the fantastic camaraderie of the improv teams, and hearing the laughs from the audience. Under Kent Sokov's and Russ Gooberman's guidance, I joined LA Connection Theater in Burbank, CA. Now, as part of an improv team, I perform in a monthly Saturday night show.
My comedic heroes are:
Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Reece Wetherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Courtney Cox. My favorite TV shows include Resident Alien, Big Bang, Palm Royale, Ghosts, Reba, Loot, Kim's Convenience, Leanne, The Middle, Night Court reboot, and the Frazier reboot. More than anything, I am a forever fan of "Friends".

Another passion of mine is theater and its dedicated and welcoming community.
I performed in "Miracle on 34th Street," Directed by Stephen Gomer, at the Camino Real Theater in San Juan Capistrano.
The holiday play is an adaptation of the 1947 movie, and it is filled with heartwarming comedy, love, and faith in one another.
Portraying Mrs. Macy and other characters in this play has stirred my love of community theater to new heights!

I was recently cast in "The Miracle Worker," A Tony Award-winning script telling the beautiful story of Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan, portrayed by the rising star Sara Davis. I portrayed Virginia, the loving maid of the Keller family. Directed by Abigail Cox at the Cabrillo Playhouse in San Clemente, CA, to rave reviews from the OC Theater Guild.

I look forward to working with you on your creative project in 2025!
